Changing to a gluten-free lifestyle was necessary for my family’s health, and that necessity sparked a joyful, decades-long journey to create truly great gluten-free baked items!

In the early nineties, my husband, Mark, was diagnosed with wheat and peanut allergies. After a few years of converting all his favorite foods to gluten-free, I realized there was a real need for easy, quick bake mixes that home bakers could whip up with love and confidence. The original Sour Cream Pound Cake was my first mix—so versatile and rich!—and it remains a happy cornerstone of everything that followed.

I started selling my products at local farmers markets, and by 2008 I was participating in four markets every weekend across the Denver area and surrounding mountains. In 2006, I even self-published a cookbook, Let Them Eat Cake! Unfortunately, in 2010 my son, who has developmental delays, required full-time care. Putting family first, I scaled down operations to focus solely online.

We eventually relocated to Arizona, and today CrazyQFarm Bakery operates from a dedicated, cozy home kitchen in Dewey, joyfully following Arizona cottage food laws. With my husband retiring this year and joining in to help, I’m proud to say: We’re back!

Because Arizona summers can be scorching, I don’t ship finished baked goods—they deserve to arrive as fresh and fabulous as they leave my kitchen. I will happily ship the Sour Cream Pound Cake dry mix, though. Shipping cost varies with quantity and weight, so just let me know how much sunshine you want in a bag.
